I am a twelve, nearly thirteen, year old girl who is VERY interested in photography. I love capturing nature. I think that beautiful is just a word and there is no true meaning behind it. I believe that every thing can be beautiful if it is pictured the correct way, so if there are any tips for me to improve my photography please let me know!

Any opinion regarding the difference, or which filter is better between Hoya or Tiffen? I have a Nikon D40X with a Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens. I need a polarizing filter and a UV filter.
I have used Tiffen filters with other lenses, but have not used a Hoya filter. Any suggestions?
I just recently bought a Canon Rebel XT and a friend told me that a UV filter will help protect the lens, so I am looking. Right now the only lens I have is the 18-55mm standard lens that comes with the camera. I am wondering of the Tiffen 58mm UV protection filter will fit on my lens.

i want to buy a lens filter to protect my lens, and at the same time improve picture quality. but my budget limits me to just .
im looking at these two:
1. Hoya 58mm UV (Ultra Violet) Multi Coated Glass Filter
2. HOYA 58CIR 58mm Circular Polarized Filter
which one should i buy?
i shoot in standard indoors, which normally is in low light. i also like to shoot portrait with scenery background, when i go to vacation outdoors.
*another option might be is to buy 1 uv (non-coated) and the circular polarizer above, which i think is also non coated
READ THIS! This is the new opteka death lens I just bought. It is just like a Century optics mk2 fish but made by a different company and It only cost 0 brand new. I needed a new lens because I sold my raymod with my old GL1 and the lens i have been using belonged to my friend Erik. I wanted to make this video because this lens went on the market Jan 2009 and there aren’t any videos of it yet on youtube so I thought it would be useful to anyone thinking about buying it . Also I wanted to show the comparison shots of a ranox, raymod, and the opteka. Also show some skate footage while using the lens. the order of the lens- 1:30 long lens 1:33 non-modded raynox 1:38 modded Raynox 1:43 opteka We went out to get test footy but it was raining so this is the only place we could skate. the vig and glare on the lens came from the uv filter i left on because it wouldn’t screw off at the time. In my opinion, I think it was worth the money. it gets about the same as a raymod without vig and it looks really nice on the camera. I have used an mk2 before and this lens is the same. the only difference is that they only come with 58mm threads and no bayo mount. If you dont have a problem with that then this is way less expensive then getting an mk2, brand new or used. Link- www.amazon.com Anything else you want to know, just ask. Hope this helps.
